About Move Mentality

My name is Kirsten, I am the Massage Therapist for Move Mentality and I’d like to explain why I chose this business name…

Having been in the massage industry for 10 years, with a background as a Personal Trainer, Physiotherapy Assistant and now working as an Assistant Practitioner in Breast Screening, it is my goal to educate as many people as possible on the importance of movement.

We may be living longer these days but, lets be honest, our health and wellbeing isn’t necessarily at its best, is it? And one of the things many of us aren’t getting enough of is movement. So, how does massage fit in to this? It gives us a sense of wellbeing, taking care of ourselves from a psychological and physical aspect, which will ultimately help us moving forwards with our health goals. Because it’s not all about the physical.

With a range of massage techniques and exercise prescription, we can work together to get you feeling more confident and positive about moving forwards with your health and wellbeing goals.

So, here is a little bit about me and what you can expect… I am very outdoorsy, I love walking/hiking absolutely anywhere, especially up a mountain when I can. Do you have pets? Great! I want to hear all about them and even better if I can meet them on a home visit! I’m a sucker for pet stories and pictures and I’ll likely tell you about my rescue hamster, cat and dog (sorry, not sorry). Getting to know my clients is one of my favourite aspects of this job, it’s a safe space for you to talk about whatever you like and there is never, ever any judgement. However, if you like to switch off and go to sleep (yes, snoring is a compliment), you can absolutely do that too!

One more thing, all massage and cleaning products used are vegan and cruelty free, with minimal added ingredients. For oncology clients, I use SongBird lemon zest wax, developed in conjunction with the Iris Cancer Charity, ideal as a mild product for those with compromised immune systems.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email or call/text!

I look forward to meeting you :)
